Is a laser procedure performed during the first consultation?
It is important to note that no laser treatment is carried out during the first appointment. Therefore, it is recommended not to shave your hair before this consultation, as this will allow the assistant to examine its color and thickness.
She will also explain the steps to follow in preparation for your first session, should you decide to begin laser treatment.
When is the best time to schedule your appointment?
You can book an appointment at any time of the year at one of our Epilia centers.
Do you want to plan ahead and start your laser treatment as soon as possible? Summer is an ideal time to have your first consultation at Epilia.
Have you enjoyed the sun this summer or undergone artificial tanning sessions? Please note that before starting your laser hair removal treatment, it is essential to wait until the tan on the treated area has completely faded.

Please note:
- This first appointment lasts about 30 minutes. No treatment will be performed at this stage with your laser assistant, so there is no need to shave before this meeting.
- Your assistant will explain in detail the steps to follow for the successful progression of your treatment.
- Autumn is the ideal time to start a treatment at Epilia, as your skin must be completely tan-free.

- Your session payment will be made directly at the end of your appointment. No unpleasant surprises: no advance payment is required at Epilia.
Essential instructions
- Avoid any sun exposure (including UV rays and self-tanning creams or lotions) throughout the treatment period.
- It is recommended to shave or trim the hair just before the session, so that it is very short (maximum 1 mm). No shaving should be done on women’s faces or on fine hair areas.
At what age can I start a laser treatment?
Permanent laser hair removal can be performed on minors, from the age of 15, provided that one of the parents gives their consent and signs the consent form. A parent’s presence is also required during the first consultation (free of charge).
However, we recommend waiting for hormonal stability before starting the treatment.
Without this, it is more of a comfort treatment than a truly permanent one.
How can I reschedule my appointment?
Any appointment change is possible, as long as it is done at least 48 hours before the originally scheduled date. You can cancel your appointment either by phone through our reception team or by using the link in the confirmation email received when booking your appointment.
You will receive a confirmation email once your appointment is canceled.
Then, you have the option to reschedule a new appointment.
Please note:
For multiple appointments, it is necessary to cancel all associated appointments.
What should I do if I am late or if I miss my appointment?
As part of our commitment to punctuality, we kindly ask you to arrive 5 minutes before your scheduled appointment time. Any delay may result in the cancellation of your session.
If you need to cancel your appointment at the last minute, please inform us by phone through our telephone reception.
In case of cancellation within less than 48 hours or no-show, a compensation of 20% of the session fee will be required, out of respect for other patients waiting for available slots.
Is it possible to book an appointment at the end of the day or on Saturdays?
Can I bring my child with me?
No, due to the risks associated with the use of lasers. It is important to know that anyone present in an Epilia treatment room must wear protective goggles appropriate for the type of laser being used.
Unfortunately, these special goggles are not available for children. Additionally, they must be worn at all times, without exception.
Therefore, the presence of your child during your treatment is not allowed, unless they can remain independently in the waiting room for the entire duration of the session.
We recommend arranging childcare for your next appointment if necessary.
Can I have my laser session at Epilia after receiving a vaccine?
Laser hair removal is completely compatible with the Covid vaccination, as there is no interaction between the two.
However, we kindly ask that you cancel your appointment in advance if you are feeling unwell or if you think you may not be in a condition to undergo the session after your vaccination. This helps avoid last-minute cancellations.
